SUPER SPOILER
Each arc takes place in a different world that is in the same time plane of June 1983 That Hanyuu has been helping Rika travel to trying to avoid the murders that take place including her own since if she dies the whole village will be killed. Each arc is to show how Hinamizawa syndrome effects each character and what the outcomes of those effects do.
